Amazing. Just as I hoped, even though the £25 Snap ticket does not allow you to choose your seat, on boarding the train I found my favourite seats at back of the carriage were free (from Brussels to Lille at least) so I could move into my favourite seats. Who knows, maybe even on the outward journey if I’d bothered to look I could have done this as well. Space to spread out a little at least. That might explain why when I book my normal Eurostar tickets and am choosing my seat, the whole centre of every carriage appears fully booked but when you get on the train it is not full; perhaps they keep all the central seats reserved for Snappers. A grey cool Brussels morning as we head for home.
