Well as per usual I got so drunk early Friday afternoon I had to leave Fifth not long after 4 and came back for a Domino’s Pizza

Well, as per usual, I got so drunk early Friday afternoon I had to leave Fifth not long after 4 and came back for a Domino’s Pizza (4 Stagioni, medium, 12 euro) and then passed out to sleep. Woke 7 or 8pm with a raging hangover and no desire to go back to Fifth, or Cine Paris, or Empire. Some soothing classical music (Klara Radio) then back to sleep till 430am, and awake since then. The morning then just dragging terribly. Finally I can take it no more and get dressed at 730 to go to get a McDonald’s and something from the snack shop next door at least but both are still closed. A rainy, drizzly, dark black Saturday morning. I content myself with a Red Bull in the Max lounge for now. Sad to see the little chip shop next to McDonald’s has also closed down. What with Cine ABC and California Peep Show still standing as empty shells, this end of Adolphe Max is really becoming a wasteland. How much life, sleazy life maybe, the naughty places gave the street a few years ago.

So 932 on my last beer in the Max lounge before my taxi back to Midi for the train home. So no I did nothing naughty again on this trip to Brussels

So 932 on my last beer in the Max lounge before my taxi back to Midi for the train home. So, no I did nothing naughty again on this trip to Brussels (third time in a row?). Did not even make my pilgrimages to Baudelaire or Lady Richmond. A short stay in Cine Paris, two quite good films, and in a state of great arousal to Fifth Avenue. Plenty of girls there today, some old faces, some new faces; one curvy new Brazilian with black hair the pick of them. I decided to stay there till I was drunk enough to feel wild enough to do something. In the end I eventually left and came back for a pizza, then out like a light—till 138 in the morning.

Brussels (24)

So again I did nothing. Left 5th Avenue, grabbed a pizza, hotel, sleep. Now at half midnight I try to wake up with a Red Bull

So again I did nothing. Left 5th Avenue, grabbed a pizza, hotel, sleep. Now at half midnight I try to wake up with a Red Bull. Let me get to Empire as fast as possible. Get it over with, then I can get back to hotel and sleep really late this morning. Then tomorrow afternoon head straight up to Gare du Nord.

The usual ridiculously sexy girls in the Rue d’Aerschot windows

The usual ridiculously sexy girls in the Rue d’Aerschot windows; I walked all the way to the end and had a couple of beers in the Retro Bar then a few more in the Red Devil bar then came back down the road thinking to do something with at least 1 of the beauties I’d seen on the way up, and couldn’t see any of them haha. So I just came back to Fifth Avenue, and my god, there were so many beautiful girls here too! A new Moroccan girl Leyla who I don’t think I’d seen before, and spoke no English, so her “sister” translated for us. One of the most beautiful, adorable girls I’d ever met in a place like this. Fall in love-able. When I finally tore myself away it was nearly 8pm and I had a 5 euro pizza from a packed solid Domino’s Pizza (Tuesdays must be the cheap day) then bed. A most enjoyable day; vindication for staying in Brussels—a better day than the 3 that preceded it. Now the only problem is I am broke, don’t know what card I’ll be able to get any more money from; will try to squeeze a few euros out of all of them to try & enjoy this last day & the last few hours Thursday.

This is ridiculous. 830 in the morning and I’m starting on my first beer

This is ridiculous. 830 in the morning, and I’m starting on my first beer. By the time O’Reilly’s opens at 11 I’ll already be half-slaughtered. Anyway, if I get drunk quick, I will be back in bed early afternoon, sleep, then up and it will still be quite early evening—time to go out again to 5th and Empire. 950 and on my 4th beer already. So again I slept through Sunday and missed the “Spectacle Live” at Cine Paris. What did I do Sunday? After several beers here in the hotel, had one in Café Jimmy and two more in Diamant—the street scene was as poor as you would expect on a Sunday lunchtime. To an empty Fifth Avenue for one more; to Brussels Grill for a lovely steak, back to Cine Paris around 4 but with no sign of “spectacle live”, to Domino’s Pizza, back to bed, sleep. Woke around 9 and forced myself out to Cine Paris to see if I could catch the “spectacle live” but it had obviously already finished. I just came back to hotel and went back to sleep; till 6am this morning. 5th beer.
